Task description:
1. The logistics coordinator will be responsible to manage these flows on daily basis (also for the administrative actions required for this in the logistics tool.
The actual ordering, practical transport organization and the administration for this, will be done by our logistics department.
The logistics coordinator is the interface (and is responsible for the monitoring of the material flows) between inputs, and the logistics department.
He will receive his inputs from the design department, validated by project management.
As important as the organization of this physical material flow, is the traceability of the goods (up to version and serial number) in the therefore dedicated tool, in order to “build” the installed base for the different project.
Also, the document flow, linked to the different materials (certificates, inspection reports, …) needs logging and archiving in the appropriate databases.
2. The logistics coordinator is responsible to keep these databases up to date on daily basis
and is to assist in the further development and improvement of the used tools.
An important task will be in the migration of the actual monitoring system, to a new approach.
He will be responsible for the daily actions in this migration, and will be part in adapting and improving of the IT tools used for this.
As part of his role, he will be responsible for the follow-up and testing, of adaptation commonly decided, and implemented by third party.
3. The logistics coordinator will have to built up knowledge of the materials we manage in the material flows. As part of his job, he can be involved in identification and inspection of materials.
He will be the first contact for other users (project managers, financial managers, …) of the tool, as well for issues of content as application.
The appropriate reporting to management, project managers and partners is fully part of the scope of the logistics coordinator.
The service provider will perform his activities partly from office in Huizingen, partly from our Bxl (satellite office) and partly, from home office.
On regular basis visits to external stakeholders will be required (site, central warehouse, our office in Germany, suppliers, …)
The logistics coordinator reports to the logistics manager in Belgium, and works closely together with the logistics departments of Belgium and Germany, with the warehouse provider, with project managers and with installation partners.
Potentially also close contact with external suppliers will be required.
